on the other side
they heard
that it was perfect
every day
bright hot sun
everyone was
happy
wealthy
satisfied
the other side
separated by
a WALL
hatred dripping
from graffitied walls
big guns perched
beware
and people
on one side
longed
for what was on
the other
one day
the wall parted
and soon was
torn down
and in time
it was not
perfect
it rained
often overcast
poverty
dirty streets
but without the wall
people became
happy
told stories
they dreamed
how it could be
tomorrow
they built
playgrounds
gave their children
a future
of possibilities
it's still
good
bad
dark
light
shades between
and people
still
build
teach children
about what can be
today and
tomorrow
